Legal Notice
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the Hortonville-Hortonia Fire Department, 700 West Nye Street, Hortonville, the Town of Hortonia Town Board and Plan Commission will conduct a joint public hearing on three related applications submitted by MCC, Inc. and Black Creek Limestone Company regarding their properties located on Givens Road and their properties located in the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 30. All applications relate to the proposed expansion of the New London Quarry. The applications consist of the following:
· An application for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to the Town of Hortonia Future Land Use Map, changing the future land use designation from Residential to Agricultural and/or Quarry for the properties located at W10664, W10620, W10672, and W10606 Givens Road.
· An application for a rezoning of the properties located at W10664, W10620, W10672, and W10606 Givens Road from Residential to A-2 Agricultural.
· An application for a Conditional Use Permit for blasting and non-metallic mineral extraction for the parcels described above as well as additional parcels owned by MCC and located in the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 30.
The joint public hearing is open to the public and all interested parties are encouraged to attend. Following completion of the public hearing, the Plan Commission will make recommendations to the Town Board regarding each of the applications and the Town Board will take final action thereon.
