Minutes of the October 27 Special Town Board Meeting include:
- Board discussed special assessments in the context of Graichen’s audit of garbage stops within the township. Clerk reported working to resolve discrepancies between the Town’s count and Graichen’s count.
- Luedtke motioned, seconded by Jaeckle to assess households for all fire numbers in the Township. Carried – 3 ayes, 0 nays.
- Luedtke motioned, seconded by Willenkamp to accept the revised ‘Addendum to the intergovernmental agreement between Village of Hortonville and Town of Hortonia to authorize us of Fire Hall as a Polling Place’. Carried – 3 ayes, 0 nays.
- Board postponed action on Intergovernmental Agreement to next meeting citing need for more time to review the document.
- Board discussed progress of road loan transfer from First State Bank to Wolf River Community Bank. No action taken.
- Board postponed discussion of Snowplowing to November 10th meeting.
- Board discussed cost/benefit of Charter Internet Service for Town Hall, tabling any action pending further information on other available options.
- Board reviewed 2009 Budget and discussed elements of proposed 2010 budget. Board set date of public budget hearing and related, special meetings of Town Electors and Board of Supervisors for Thursday, November 12th.
- Board discussed Hwy 15 Bypass of Hortonville. No action taken.
- Board discussed nuisance activity within the Township but postponed discussion of the Town’s Nuisance ordinance to November 10th meeting.
- Board tabled discussion of WTA’s Energy Conservation Resolution.
