&lt;p&gt;Town electors set the pay of the Town Board. Town Board sets pay of appointed officials. This resolution sets the compensation schedule for appointed officials.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Tax Appeals Commission settlement revised assessments effective January 27, 2010,&amp;nbsp;necessitating the refund.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;By this resolution the Town Board resolves that it is in the best interest of the Town of Hortonia residents that Wards one and two be combined for voting purposes and that all voting take place at the Hortonia Town Hall, located at the corner of Givens Rd and cty Trk T in Ward 1. That by passage of this resolution, the Town of Hortonia is authorized to combine wards for reporting election results.&lt;br /&gt;
This resolution shall take effect upon adoption and filed on the 28th day of August, 2001, and passed on said date.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Resolution R2010.4.2 - &amp;quot;Loan needed to refund Sara Lee taxes&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Passage of this resolution gives the Town Board the ability to borrow money in order to cover the Sara Lee tax refund.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Note: The Wisconsin&amp;nbsp;Tax Appeals Commission settlement between Department of Revenue and Sara Lee&amp;nbsp;revised Sara Lee&amp;#39;s assessments effective January 27, 2010,&amp;nbsp;necessitating the refund. Because the refund is&amp;nbsp;$399,331.58, a loan is required to cover the amount. This figure includes amounts from other tax jurisdictions including Fox Valley Technical College, School District of New London, Outagamie County and the State of Wisconsin. The actual amount the Hortonia owes is about $49,200 plus interest on the loan. Because Hortonia annually collects the full amount of taxes, Hortonia has to refund the full amount per state statutes.&lt;/p&gt;

This individual would not&amp;nbsp;count toward the total&amp;nbsp;number of acting&amp;nbsp;election officials. Absent this resolution, the statutory minimum is 7 election officials.&lt;/p&gt;

&amp;bull; gives Town officials an annual salary increase of 3% each year&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; gives Town officials per diem for a full day event; half per diem for half-day event&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; prevents Town officials from collecting per diem for &amp;#39;normal&amp;#39; work&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; insures Town officials are paid hourly for specific duties listed&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; pays Town officials hourly wage for updating the Town web site (capped)&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; advises the Town Board to set a compensation schedule for travel expenses, including mileage, lodging and meal expenses as well as costs associated with programs of instruction related to the officer&amp;rsquo;s or employee&amp;rsquo;s office or employment&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; stipulates that no change may be made in the compensation of the office that applies to the current term of office&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Town electors set the pay of the Town Board. This resolution adjusts the pay&amp;nbsp;of the Town Board and related officials to be more consistent with neighboring municipalities. In April of 2009, the electors made a motion to have the Town Board present an advisory schedule of salaries and compensation for Town Officials at the next annual meeting.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Currently (2010), Town Supervisors (including the Chairman) are not paid a salary or per diem. Supervisors are paid per meeting. Hourly wages are only paid for work done by Town officials that falls outside the duties of each respective official as described by state statutes.
